The Shepherd

Our interest in dogs who help shepherd flocks is only one part of our life. The most important part has to do with following our Shepherd.

While many people are involved with religion, we are involved with a very real Shepherd who we have given our lives over to.
His name is Jesus.

Most of us, like sheep, are not the brightest of creatures. We are prone to wandering off and getting ourselves in trouble thinking we know what's best for us. Making up our own rules as we go along, and going where ever we like, dangerous or not.

We're all like sheep who've wandered off and gotten lost. We've all done our own thing, gone our own way. And GOD has piled all our sins, everything we've done wrong, on him, on him. Isaiah 53:6 (The Message)

Thankfully for us, even though we wander away from the One who can care for us best He still comes looking for us, even in the worst of places.

GOD, the Master, says: From now on, I myself am the shepherd. I'm going looking for them. As shepherds go after their flocks when they get scattered, I'm going after my sheep. I'll rescue them from all the places they've been scattered to in the storms. I'll bring them back from foreign peoples, gather them from foreign countries, and bring them back to their home country. I'll feed them on the mountains of Israel, along the streams, among their own people. I'll lead them into lush pasture so they can roam the mountain pastures of Israel, graze at leisure, feed in the rich pastures on the mountains of Israel. And I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep. I myself will make sure they get plenty of rest. I'll go after the lost, I'll collect the strays, I'll doctor the injured, I'll build up the weak ones and oversee the strong ones so they're not exploited. . Ezekiel 34:11-17 (The Message)

Like a shepherd, he will care for his flock, gathering the lambs in his arms, Hugging them as he carries them, leading the nursing ewes to good pasture.
Isa. 40: 11 (The Message)

If you do not know our Shepherd, and would like to know more about coming into His flock, please contact us and we will be glad to talk to you.

Then we, your people, the ones you love and care for, will thank you over and over and over. We'll tell everyone we meet how wonderful you are, how praiseworthy you are!
Psalm 79:13 (The Message)
