What's different about Terra-Blue?

There are many breeders to choose from, so what is so different about us?

• We do more than just breeding with our dogs (see our champions and other titled dogs)
• We care about good temperament (our dogs are dogs we live with ourselves - they are not just kennel dogs)
• We care about health issues and raise our dogs holistically (see below)
• We are concerned about hereditary health issues (see the health clearances on our dogs - which can be verified at the OFA & CERF websites)
• We don't expect our puppies to raise themselves (we spend an incredible amount of time raising our puppies from birth until they leave for their new homes)
• We don't sell our puppies to anyone - we want to be sure the breed AND each individual dog is a good fit for a potential owner (a lifetime home is more important to us than a sale)
• We don't just sell dogs (we offer buyers experience and support after they take their puppy home)
• We guarantee our dogs (see our contracts)
• We give back to the breed (we are members and active participants of international, national and local breed clubs)
• We abide by the PSCA Code of Ethics (see below)
• We bring decades of experience in exhibiting, breeding, training, judging (nationally and internationally) and education.

Terra-Blue puppies are from breedings that we feel will both benefit our breeding program and the breed at large. Great importance is placed on the soundness, both mentally and physically, of all dogs being bred.

Sires and dams meet all the health screenings recommended by the parent club health committee (PSCA) as listed on the Canine Health Information Center web site: CHIC. This includes OFA hips and patellas, and CERF (eyes). *

Our puppies are raised in our homes and are given daily socialization, experiencing a variety of situations appropriate to their ages, from birth until the time they leave (Early Neurological Stimulation). We invest a tremendous amount of time into our puppies to ensure that they will be well rounded individuals. They are raised on a holistic diet (combination raw & dog food - see Links), receive the appropriate health preventatives for their age, are eye checked clear (by a certified canine ophthalmologist), and receive a vet check before going to their new homes. We use limited core vaccinations on our dogs and puppies.

All of our dogs/puppies are eligible for both AKC & PSCA registration, and we abide by the PSCA Code of Ethics.
