	Here at Terra-Blue, our goal is to produce mentally and physically sound dogs who can live in the real world we live in, while at the same time preserving the intelligence and function they were originally created for. Though we are not heavily involved in herding, we still feel that the Aussie's herding ability is an important characteristic of the breed and strive to incorporate and maintain that ability in our breeding program. We have bred dogs who are titled in: conformation, obedience, agility, tracking, flyball and herding. Terra-Blue dogs are: ASCA and AKC registered OFA Hips & Elbows (certified clear of hip & elbow dysplasia) CERF (certified clear of eye defects)

	Our dogs are loved and raised in our homes, and are a part of lives, rather than just living as kennel dogs. We feel it is important to limit the number of dogs living with us, so that they receive the individual attention they need. In order to maintain our breeding program, we also co-own a number of dogs with others. Our dogs are raised on a natural diet and cared for from a holistic approach. 	HISTORY Terra-Blue was started in the late 1980's by Joni Johnson after she was bitten by the "show bug" when her first Aussie, Hearthside Social Butterfly, went Best in Show Puppy at a large rare breed show in NY. That puppy went on to produce, out of her first litter, Terra-Blue's first champion: CH. Windy Oaks Lena of Terra-Blue, who was both a Premier Ten Bitch and Top Specials Bitch. During the 1980's Emmy Adasiewicz was also involved with dogs, both as a groomer and in showing German Shepherds. Though they still didn't know each other Joni and Emmy later purchased Aussie puppies from the same litter in 1988: Hearthside Just My Style "Jusse'"and CH.Hearthside Tuxedo Style. "Tux". "Tux" was to be Emmy's first Aussie, but not her last. After "Tux" Emmy got another black tri male, CH. Hearthside Risky Business. Several years later, in 1992, Emmy was again looking for that perfect black tri male puppy, and was told by Betsy Atkinson (Hearthside) about a very special puppy Joni had that wasn't for sale. Emmy called, things clicked, and she ended up picking up the puppy that wasn't for sale on her honeymoon! His name was "Cajun", and the rest is history. As a result of "Cajun", Joni and Emmy began working together with the dogs, and developed a very special friendship. As Emmy became more and more involved with Terra-Blue she became an important part of it, and was finally officially added to the kennel name Terra-Blue in 2000. In 2003 Terra-Blue also become an AKC registered kennel name. & was also joined by our first Pyrenean Shepherd.
